¿Queréis aumentar vuestro vocabulario de inglés? Esta semana vamos a repasar palabras en inglés relacionadas con el trabajo diario en una oficina cualquiera. Para ello, os hemos preparado una lista de palabras en inglés y sus definiciones.
- Budget. The money that a department has to spend in a year or a project.
- Personal Assistant. A person who helps business people to be organized. The usually help with emails, organizing meetings and business trips etc.
- Delivery. When something that was ordered arrives whether by courier or post.
- Bank Transfer. An electronic way to move money from one account to another.
- Pencil Sharpener. A small object with sharp blades. We insert a pencil and rotate it until the point is sharp.
- Staff. The people who work for a company or situation.
- Briefcase. A bag that is used to carry documents and work-related papers in.
- Consultant. A person who is considered an expert in a certain area. A consultant is usually contracted on a temporary basis to help company.
- Head of. The person who has the highest position in a department.
- In charge of. To have the responsibility for something.
- Responsibility. Duty or task that an employee has to do as part of their job.
- Responsible to. To be in a lower position than someone in the same department.
- Duty. Something that a person does as part of their job or role.
- To be responsible for. To be the person in charge of a particular job or task.
- Working day. The time spent working.
- To involve. To incorporate or have as a part.
- Challenging. Something which requires a lot of effort.
- To put people through. To connect two or more people on a telephone call.
- Qualification. A certificate or other academic qualification.
- To dispatch. To send. Used when talking about orders between a company and a client.
- Quote. The formal offer for the price of a service or product.
- Discount. A reduction in cost. Often a large order will receive a discount.
