Even in countries in which English is not the primary language, it is important to learn English for a number of reasons. However, learning how to speak English in a non-English country can be quite challenging. Where those learning how to speak English in English-speaking countries have a lot of resources to their disposal such as television, radio, and libraries that are packed full of books written in English, the resident of a non-English country does not have that luxury. That is why it is important to explore other options.

Below are 10 ways that an individual wishing to speak English can learn in their own county:
1. The Internet is going to be your best friend. It is packed full of resources, reading materials, sound recordings, and so much more that can help you learn the meaning of the words that you read and speak.
2. Check out your local video store and see if there are movies in English. There may be a few. Don’t worry about the entertainment value of the title. You are watching it so you can stop it and replay it in order to focus on your English speaking skills.
3. Record yourself when you speak English. After you are finished recording, play it back and see what you sound like. If you are not clear, then you can simply try again. This is a great way to see how others hear you.
4. Go to your library and pick out titles that are written in English. Try to read those titles.
5. Find an English CD and listen to it. Decipher the words and even try to sing along. This can be a lot of fun. If you want to, you can record yourself doing this and really have a lot of fun.
6. Try to surround yourself with as many English materials as possible. Not just books, movies, and CDs, but magazines and any products that you can find in the store that may have English written on them.
7. Practice with a friend. This friend may not know English, but impress them with your skills. You may even try to teach what you have learned because you will be less likely to forget by repeating the information to another.
8. If you hear a word and you don’t know what it is, write it down and do research on what it means. In your research you’ll encounter many more English words for you to ponder over.
9. Keep a diary in English. The things you write can be as simple as what day it is and what the weather is like outside.

Soon, on the 25th of November, Americans will celebrate Thanksgiving. Canadians have already celebrated it on October 11.
All countries of the world have many common parties and other completely different so it is important to know the culture of each country to travel and enjoy these moments of happiness
What is Thanksgiving? What is the origin of this party? What is usually done on Thanksgiving Day?
The Spanish translation of the phrase would Thanksgiving: Acción de Gracias.
It is a religious holiday celebrated in Canada on the second Monday of October in the U.S. the fourth Thursday of November. The first Thanksgiving were harvest festivals and the chance to thank God.
So, we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in late fall, after a good harvest.
According to some Native American people, Thanksgiving is the celebration of the Indian Wars.
The origin of Thanksgiving has been discussed and everyone has their own version.
On December 11, 1620, in Massachusetts, a few pilgrims arrived fleeing religious British persecution. They founded the colony of Plymouth. The winter was unbearable and many people died of hunger or cold.
When spring came, the Pilgrims needed to keep the crop and save for next winter. Their survival is due to the Squanto and Samoset, two Indians from a different tribe. It was them who taught them to hunt, fish, and especially to harvest the corn.
In 1621, the harvest results were great so the colonial governor William Bradford proclaimed that day the day of Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims shared it with their Indian neighbors.

There are many other versions of the origin of Thanksgiving.
Three centuries ago, Thanksgiving was a day of prayers and giving praise to God while today the tradition has changed and Thanksgiving is an opportunity to bring the whole family together for fun and to celebrate with the typical Thanksgiving meal.
People from all over the world, gather together with their families to share good food. Do not forget the stuffed turkey … pumpkin pie …
Each year, thousands of collections are made to feed the poor and homeless.
Thanksgiving is a perfect time to be a little more generous than normal to your fellow man.
Thanksgiving can also be an excellent opportunity to celebrate with people from other countries and cultures.
As we all know, to embrace different cultures can be the first step to also learning a new language. Imagine sharing the Thanksgiving day with a real American family? It would certainly be a great opportunity to practice English in an authentic environment and classic menu that so many times we have seen in Hollywood movies.
The test to see at what level you are is the most important step before starting a language course.
It is always essential to take this test before you decide on a certain level, unless of course you need to start from scratch.
Online language courses do not always offer the opportunity to perform this test, with students sometimes encountering the problem of having to settle for a level and then realize that this course is not needed.
The Dexway method does offer this test and it is free of charge on www.dexway.com.
The level is a central issue in learning a language, also when leaving examination. The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) provides a number of levels for all languages. Learning, teaching and assessment of languages, there are six levels on three blocks:
- Block A: A1 and A2.
- Block B: B1 and B2.
- Block C, C1 and C2.
A language course must respect these 6 levels both during and in the test. If you do this test, it will be an excellent start because it will define where your knowledge level is and will therefore perfectly choose a course that suits your needs.
With dexway, the placement test is free. When you take a level test free with dexway, you can test your knowledge of grammar, reading comprehension, writing and pronunciation. Yes, because at this level test also evaluates your pronunciation.
Following the completion of this level test in English, Spanish, German or French, with no commitment, you will notice the level of knowledge and know what level of knowledge you have and the training plan that is most suitable for you. Begin learning at the appropriate level, depending on your needs in a course tailored just for you.
Furthermore, if you purchase now you can have a test course with dexway there are no obligations during a period of 30 days, if you are not satisfied you will get your money back.

Do you remember when you were little and going to class in French, English or German?
We all remember those moments when we had to learn all those irregular verbs, the vocabulary … or those tests in which there are three ways to put the English verb “to go, went, gone”, for example.
After several years without going to class, many people vaguely remember those verbs and that vocabulary that they tried to learn by heart.
But the truth is that with this, when traveling to a foreign country, for example, when we are trying to order a coffee ore a sandwich, we were usually speechless and perhaps in the worst case scenario without food or drinks.
From this we can draw some very clear conclusions: you can study a language for years and know a lot of grammar but it’s not the solution to talk and to maintain a conversion. What matters is the method of learning, the use of the language in everyday life. In any country, let’s face typical situations, everyday things, like going to the bank to open an account, go to the restaurant, book a hotel room, change a flight, go to the doctor, asking for information in a store, make a job interview, etc.
Undoubtedly the best way to learn a language is to be in the country where they speak the language and practice. But this is not always possible, so we offer the best solution to learn a language more practical: dexway method.
Dexway is the most and complete and advanced method of online language learning. Technology integrates all applications into one system, streamlining and ensuring language learning like no other method can. It presents many real situations in which the student can put into practice what you learn during the course, and also with the help of a native teacher who is always available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, before any doubt.
With dexway you will reach your goals. You will have the world at your fingertips, to speak fluently in any situation, mastering the language in any field: business, college, everyday situations, etc.

Dexway puts at your disposal in each unit of learning some practical lessons outside their conventional content.

• Culture and customs of the country. Find text and audio on the culture and customs.
• dexway Channel: fun time practicing what they learned: karaoke, TV, radio, documentaries. For example, with or without the lyrics of songs you can have fun singing famous songs from the country, listening to radio, watch television commercials, etc..
